Nicole Woods hires La'Karis Salter as an assistant and recruiting coordinator. She brings experience from Kansas City, Omaha and Ferris State, where her work included a Division II national semifinal season.

Men's basketball earns CAA academic award
UNCW men's basketball earned the CAA Academic Excellence Award with a 3.25 team GPA. It joined the school's men's and women's soccer programs in leading the conference academically in their respective sports.
Seahawks set schedule with 20 home dates
UNCW's completed home slate includes the Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic against St. Thomas, Princeton and Liberty. Conference play begins with Campbell on December 31 and Northeastern on January 2 at Trask Coliseum.

Donovan Newby returns to Seahawks' staff
Former UNCW guard Donovan Newby returns as director of player personnel. The 2025 CAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player will assist with development, scouting, evaluation and recruiting after helping the Seahawks win that championship.

UNCW signs freshman guard Alva Hägerström from Ängelholm, Sweden. She brings youth national-team experience and consecutive Middle Europe League All-Star selections, adding depth at point guard.
