Ryan Bartley and Mambourou Mara made the Southland All-Academic team, extending HCU’s run of multiple honorees to three seasons. Both contributed regularly in their first year with the Huskies while maintaining strong graduate and undergraduate records.
Tove Caesar, Jordan Jackson, Madison Hurta, Grace Booth and Kamryn McLaurin received Southland academic honors. The group includes HCU’s leaders in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals from the 2025-26 season.
HCU lost 73-60 to New Orleans in the Southland first round. The Huskies trailed by one at halftime before a 12-0 Privateers run created separation, ending HCU’s season at 12-20.
HCU secured the final Southland Tournament berth with a 75-53 victory over Lamar. Its first-round preview outlined a third meeting with New Orleans after the Huskies earned the No. 8 seed.
HCU closed its season with a 46-42 home loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Grace Booth and Madison Hurta scored nine points each as the Huskies repeatedly narrowed the margin but could not pull ahead.
HCU’s season-finale preview highlighted Jo Oly, Martyna Czescik and Remi Langmaid ahead of Senior Night. Oly entered the last game tenth on the program’s career blocks list after four years with the Huskies.
